Barcelona Teambuilding, 20 colleagues - Omninet

20 colleagues from Omninet, four days in Barcelona. A company trip with team building, activities on land and sea, and great food in restaurants only locals know about. But a company trip to Barcelona doesn't have to be all fun. The team also held meetings at a winery in the green hills overlooking the Mediterranean.
Company Trip Barcelona: Meetings Among the Vines
A company trip to Barcelona doesn't have to be pure entertainment. Many companies use one day of the trip to brainstorm, share information and get everyone on the same page. The thinking is simple: take people out of their daily environment and you get different conversations, different ideas, different energy. But then comes the question: where do you meet? The default option is the hotel meeting room. Fluorescent lights, aircon, coffee from a flask. You're in Barcelona, but you might as well be in Brussels. For Omninet we chose something different. A winery in Alella, a small village in the Maresme hills, half an hour's drive from Barcelona. Vineyards on green hillsides. Views over the Mediterranean. The scent of grapes and pine trees. A meeting setting that wakes up your senses rather than numbing them.
Meeting at a Winery Near Barcelona: the Morning
The day started with business. The group took a private coach to the estate and settled into a private meeting room equipped with all the audiovisual equipment you'd need. The difference with a hotel conference room? When you looked up from your laptop, you saw vineyards and, in the distance, the blue line of the sea. The morning was for the serious things. Presentations, updates, plans for the months ahead. But even the most corporate meeting feels different when you know the sun is shining outside on one of the most beautiful spots in Catalonia.

Team Building Barcelona: Meeting on the Terrace in the Sun
After the morning session, the group moved to the terrace. The meeting continued, but in a completely different setting. Outside, in the sun, among the vines, with views over the Mediterranean. Chairs in a circle, coffee in hand, the warmth of the sun on the faces. The effect was clear. Conversations loosened up. People who had been presenting formally that morning were now sharing ideas in a way that would never happen in a conference room. The setting does something to people. New surroundings, new energy, new insights. That's exactly why you don't sit in the hotel meeting room but among the vines.

Wine Lunch at the Estate: the Best of the Local Kitchen
The meeting flowed into lunch. Tables set on the terrace, with the same view, but now with a glass of wine. The lunch was prepared with local ingredients, and each course was paired with a different wine from the estate. A sommelier explained each wine: what you were tasting, how the grapes were grown, and what made this particular wine special. There's something about sitting down together after a productive morning. The satisfaction of good work, combined with good food and good wine, in a setting you'd normally only find on holiday. Colleagues who'd been talking quarterly targets and roadmaps that morning were now smiling and debating the flavour of the wine and the view. Exactly the mix you want on a company trip to Barcelona.

Wine Tasting and Estate Tour: Team Building in the Vineyards
After lunch, the sommelier took the group on a walk through the estate. Through the vineyards, past the grape varieties that have grown here for generations. Through the cellars where the bottles age. With an explanation of the full winemaking process: from grape to bottle. How the Maresme climate, the proximity of the sea, and the shelter of the hills produce wines with a character all their own. For most of the group it was their first time on a wine estate. And that's what makes it so valuable. Discovering something new together, learning together, enjoying a place you would never have visited without this trip. I could see it on their faces: the surprise at finding a place like this so close to Barcelona, the calm the landscape brings, the pleasure of the sun on their skin and the view of the azure blue sea. Give 20 colleagues that kind of experience and you have something that lasts longer than a PowerPoint.
Incentive Trip Barcelona: Activities on Land and Sea
The day at the winery was the highlight, but Omninet enjoyed much more. The rest of the trip was all about team building: activities on land and at sea. The kind of moments where hierarchy quietly disappears and colleagues get to know each other in a different way. And then the food. We took the group to restaurants you won't find in any guidebook. Places only insiders know. Local cuisine, the right atmosphere, the right size for a group of 20. After 20 years in Barcelona, we know exactly which restaurant fits which moment.
Why a Company Trip to Barcelona is More Than Just Fun
Most company trips to Barcelona are either pure relaxation or pure meetings. With Omninet we combined both. And it works. A day of meetings becomes not just bearable but genuinely inspiring when the setting is right. And a team building trip gains real depth when there's also room for substance. A winery in the hills of Alella isn't the first place you think of when you hear "meeting." But maybe it should be. The combination of a professional meeting room, a terrace with sea views, a lunch with local wines and a tour of the cellars is a day that is both productive and unforgettable. The best of both worlds. And that's what we try to do with every trip: build a programme that isn't just enjoyable, but that genuinely delivers.
