35 colleagues, one long weekend in Barcelona. Faktion, a Belgian AI company, came to celebrate — we made sure they'd never forget it.

01. Hotel in Barcelona for Groups: Poblenou

For accommodation, we chose a hotel in the trendy Poblenou neighbourhood, one of the best areas in Barcelona for a company trip. The hotel is surrounded by restaurants, bars and terraces, and just a few minutes' walk from the beach and the sea. The historic city centre is reachable by metro in under 10 minutes.

02. Arrival and First Evening in Barcelona

The entire team arrived at Barcelona Airport on Thursday evening. We were waiting for the group in the arrivals hall and accompanied them to the coach heading to the hotel.

The hotel features a spectacular rooftop with 360° views over Barcelona and the Mediterranean Sea, the perfect setting for a welcome drink. And as if it had been planned: that very evening,a stunning drone show lit up the Barcelona skyline. A Barcelona incentive trip couldn't have started any better.

03. Activities in Barcelona for Corporate Groups

The next day, we explored Barcelona from three different perspectives. In the morning, we hiked through the hills — Barcelona from above, as few tourists ever see it. At the end of the hike, bikes were waiting, and guided by local guides, we cycled past the city's most iconic landmarks, finishing up at the beach.

Time to recharge: paella on a sunny beachside terrace, with the sound of the sea in the background. After lunch, we boarded a private catamaran for an excursion on the Mediterranean, with the Barcelona skyline as our backdrop. There was time to swim, dance to the beats and enjoy drinks in the sun. As the sun slowly set, the BBQ on board fired up. A perfect end to a long and beautiful day.

04. Teambuilding Activity in Barcelona: Mystery in the Historic Centre

On day three, a real teambuilding activity was on the agenda. The group was divided into teams and had to solve a mystery as quickly as possible. Collaboration within each team was the key to beating the others. The game led them through narrow alleyways and hidden squares of the historic city centre. The winning team won a bottle of vermouth, which they generously shared with the whole group.

05. Restaurants for Groups in Barcelona: How to Find the Right One?

Finding a great restaurant for a group of 35 people in Barcelona is more complex than it sounds. The food needs to be outstanding — preferably Catalan or Spanish cuisine. The interior has to match the occasion. The group needs a degree of privacy, so the CEO can say a few words at the start of dinner. And ideally, the restaurant is in a neighbourhood where people can carry on after dinner.

After 20 years in Barcelona, we know exactly the right spot for every group and every occasion. For Faktion, we chose a tapas restaurant in the historic El Born neighbourhood: excellent reputation, a private space for the full group, a stylish interior, and surrounded by bars and cafés for those who wanted to keep the evening going.

06. Heading Home After an Unforgettable Company Trip

On the fourth day, participants could sleep in. After breakfast, we headed to the airport by coach, but not without a stop on the hill of Montjuïc for a farewell glass of cava, with Barcelona at our feet.

The trip was over. New memories made. New bonds forged. Team spirit strengthened. And 35 colleagues who would head back to work on Monday feeling genuinely grateful.

07. Why Organise a Company Trip to Barcelona?

A Barcelona incentive trip is more than a fun weekend away. It's an investment in your team. And one that pays off:

* Connection: Colleagues get to know each other outside the work environment. Management and staff grow closer, building mutual trust and leading to better collaboration.

* Appreciation: Employees feel recognised for their efforts. They see that the company's success is also their success — and that has a direct impact on motivation and engagement.

* Employer branding: A company that invests in its people also attracts new talent. A company trip or teambuilding in Barcelona is the kind of story that travels: on LinkedIn, at birthday parties, in job interviews.
