Case Study: Juvah’s Anniversary Trip to Catalonia

This year, Juvah – a construction company from Belgium – celebrated its 15th anniversary. And they did it in style: with more than 50 employees under the Spanish sun.
01. Staying in a Country Estate
Juvah wanted something special: a countryside villa where the whole group could stay together, enjoy the outdoors, cook and celebrate, and still have plenty of activities nearby.
We found the perfect spot in the Empordà region, the heart of Catalonia. A rustic complex of beautifully restored houses, right next to each other, with space enough for the whole group.
One of the houses was transformed into a party space, complete with sound and light installations. Outside, we set up a long dinner table and a cozy, softly lit chill-out area.

02. Activities for Everyone
Next came the fun part: activities. And in Catalonia, that’s easy—nature, the Mediterranean, and the mountains are always close by.
We rented bikes with GPS routes so people could explore whenever they felt like it. We organized guided nature hikes, including one that led us up a hill with breathtaking views.
One afternoon we headed to the Costa Brava. Part of the group went stand-up paddling and kayaking on the Mediterranean. The others opted for a cliffside hike that ended in a hidden bay—where they dived into crystal-clear water.
We also visited an organic vineyard. After a tour of the estate, we enjoyed a tasting on a sunny terrace surrounded by vines.

03. Food, Drinks & Parties
Of course, no trip is complete without good food. Every day we took care of the groceries so the group could prepare breakfast and lunch together. In the evenings, a private chef came in to cook dinner—one night it was a BBQ, another night paella. And after dinner? The party went on until late at night.
All ingredients were sourced locally, within a 5 km radius of the estate. Wines came from Empordà itself, beer from a craft brewery on the Costa Brava, and the fruit and vegetables were grown organically nearby.
04. The Results
The trip was a huge success, with enthusiastic feedback from participants during and after the journey.
Of course, organizing a full experience for 50+ people is an investment for a company. But what did Juvah gain from it?
Colleagues got to know each other outside the office and built genuine friendships.
Managers and staff grew closer, creating stronger mutual trust.
Employees felt truly appreciated for their hard work over the past years. They saw that Juvah’s success is also their success.
All of this makes Juvah an even better place to work, boosting employee retention—and making the company more attractive to future talent.
Congratulations to Juvah on its 15th anniversary. Here’s to the next 20!
