Company Trip to Mallorca for 60 Colleagues — IT Consultancy

In September 2026, 60 consultants from a Belgian IT consultancy based in Mechelen went on a company trip to Mallorca. Four days with two goals: sharing knowledge with each other, and having fun together. We are Nessout, a Belgian agency in Barcelona that organises company trips in Spain for Belgian and Dutch companies, and we took care of everything from A to Z: hotel, transfers, meeting rooms, teambuilding and on-site coordination.
Why an IT Consultancy Goes on a Company Retreat Every Year
The consultants at this company spend the whole year working at clients' offices. They don't see each other very often. What is a colleague working on? What problems are they running into? What solutions are they building? When everyone is at a different client, you often just don't know.
That's why the company travels abroad together every year. The CEO can address everyone at once and get them all on the same page. Colleagues learn from each other. And they simply spend time together, which gives the team spirit a real boost.
Company Trip to Mallorca: a Resort in the Quiet North
This year the destination was Mallorca, a 2.5-hour flight from Brussels. The island has plenty of good hotels set up for large groups. We chose PortBlue Club Pollentia, a four-star all-inclusive resort in Alcúdia, in the quiet north of the island.
Besides several pools and restaurants, the resort has enough meeting rooms to run different sessions. Purely technical sessions, but also sessions on personal and interpersonal skills. A resort worked well as a base for a large group: everything in one place, no shuttling back and forth between hotel and meeting room.
Straight from the Plane to the Terrace
The group landed in Mallorca in the morning. We were waiting at the airport and took the 60 consultants to the coach. A little under an hour later, we arrived at the hotel.
On the terrace, a long table was set with all kinds of good food. From the stuffy plane straight to breakfast in the sun, under swaying palm trees. As an organiser, I always enjoy that moment: the group has only just arrived, and you can already see them enjoying themselves.
Knowledge Sharing on a Company Offsite: Consultants Learning from Each Other
For two days, the focus was on work. Several consultants had prepared presentations. What do they do at their client? How did they solve a particular problem? What did they learn over the past year, and what are they now doing differently?
The knowledge is already inside the company, but spread across dozens of clients. On an offsite like this, it comes together in one room.
Between sessions and in the evenings, there was time to enjoy the resort and the surroundings. In the evenings, many colleagues headed into the town of Alcúdia together.

A World Title on the Big Screen
And then there was a moment that wasn't on the programme. Remco Evenepoel was riding the World Championship time trial in Montreal. The big screen in the meeting room became a TV, and the whole group watched and cheered him on. Evenepoel won, his fourth world time trial title in a row.
60 colleagues cheering together in a meeting room in Mallorca. You can't plan a moment like that, but it stays with people.
Teambuilding in Mallorca: Three Activities to Choose From
The second-to-last day was all about teambuilding. We had prepared three activities, and everyone picked their own:
- A walk through medieval Alcúdia, ending at the beach.
- Coasteering along the coast: swimming, cliff jumping and abseiling.
- A mountain hike, with views from the top over the bays of Alcúdia and Pollença.
With 60 people, a choice works better than one activity for everyone. Not everyone wants to jump off a cliff, and not everyone wants to climb a mountain.

Coming Together at the Port of Alcúdia
After the activities, all the groups met up on a terrace at the port of Alcúdia. Everyone had their own story: the cliffs, the view from the top, the streets of the old town. A drink together by the sea, and plenty of time to talk it all through.
Then the group photo. You look at 60 faces and see that everyone is happy. That's what I do it for.
Back to Brussels
On the last day, we flew back to Brussels early in the morning. After a very early breakfast, the group boarded the coach to the airport. Another offsite was done.
Why Northern Mallorca Works for a Company Trip
When people think of Mallorca, they often think of Palma first. For a company trip with a large group, we deliberately chose the north, around Alcúdia. It's quieter, and there are large resorts with meeting rooms for groups of this size.
Everything you need for a varied programme is close by: a medieval old town, a port with terraces, beaches, cliffs along the coast and mountains with views over the bays of Alcúdia and Pollença. From the airport it's a little under an hour, and from Brussels it's a 2.5-hour flight to Mallorca. In September, the sea is still warm enough for swimming.
What Does an Annual Company Offsite Deliver?
- An event the team looks forward to all year, and works on all year: from the logistics to preparing sessions and presentations.
- Colleagues who are back on the same page.
- New knowledge, ideas and skills that they can hopefully put to use with their clients soon.
- Colleagues who know who is working on what, and who to turn to with a question on a particular topic.
- Employees who are grateful to their employer, and proud of it.
- A team that knows each other better. Colleagues who have become a little more like friends.
What the Client Says
Our client posted on their LinkedIn page:
"For our annual #DevCruise, we headed to sunny Alcúdia this year. For four days, we set sail together and did what Euricommers do best: sharing knowledge, having fun and taking home unforgettable memories. 😎
We kicked off our first day in style with the Euricom quiz ‘404: knowledge (not) found’ and a tasting of local Mallorcan wines. 😋
The next day, no fewer than 18 sessions were on the programme. From technical talks and new insights to West Flemish for Dummies. It doesn’t always have to be serious, right? 😉
As if our DevCruise wasn’t enough teambuilding on its own, we also headed out together for a proper teambuilding day. On the programme: exploring Alcúdia, coasteering or a challenging hike. Something for every Euricommer!
And in between? Sharing meals, getting to know new colleagues better, playing board games, enjoying a night out and above all having lots of fun! Because in the end, that’s what DevCruise is all about for us: connection & knowledge sharing. 💚
DevCruise 2027, here we come!
Finally, a big shoutout to Mark from Nessout for this wonderful trip."
